Unprecedented protests have been called across the United States against US President Donald Trump . Organizers are calling the event, titled ‘No Kings’, one of the largest protests in the country’s recent history.
Extensive preparations have already been made for the protest, which is scheduled to take place on Saturday. Organizers claim that more than 3,000 protest programs have been registered in 50 states in the United States. They expect about 9 million people to participate.
The national event will be centered in Minnesota , with the main rally scheduled to take place at the Minnesota Capitol in St. Paul. Organizers say the state has emerged as a major center of protest amid recent violent incidents.
Cultural events are also planned as part of the protest. Renowned musician Bruce Springsteen will perform at the event. He will perform the song “Streets of Minneapolis,” which is a tribute to the recent events.
The event is also gaining importance as part of Springsteen’s ‘Land of Hope and Dreams’ American tour. Those involved say that this protest, which started with the ‘No Kings’ movement, could add a new dimension to the US political arena.
