The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has organized a two-day training workshop for the members of parliament of the winning party in the recently held 13th National Parliament elections.
BNP Chairman and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman inaugurated the workshop organized at the party’s office in Gulshan, Dhaka on Friday morning.
The party said that the main objective of this workshop is to provide a clear understanding of parliamentary activities, especially to first-time elected members of parliament. The participants will be prepared to play an effective role in parliament and will be given an idea of the administrative and policy-making processes.
The workshop is being conducted by former bureaucrats, academicians and former members of parliament as trainers. The training agenda includes rules of parliamentary governance, law-making process, budget presentation and review, the work of parliamentary standing committees and various aspects of ministry oversight.
