Iranian Defense Minister Aziz Nasserzadeh and Army Chief of Staff Abdolrahim Mousavi were killed in a joint US-Israeli attack.
Iran’s semi-official news outlet Tasnim News confirmed this information on Sunday morning .
Tehran said the two top security officials were killed in a military operation early Sunday, a day after the United States and Israel launched coordinated missile strikes on Iranian targets on Saturday morning.
The attack comes after two other senior figures in Iran’s military were killed – Mohammad Pakpour, a top commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps , and Ali Shamkhani, a defense adviser .
