  • Twenty-three Bangladeshi cricketers have registered their names for the 2026 auction of England’s franchise tournament The Hundred . The auction will be held on March 11 and 12 at Piccadilly Lights in London.

Among Bangladeshis, the highest base price has been set for pacer Mustafizur Rahman – 100,000 pounds. Leg-spinner Rishad Hossain has a base price of 75,000 pounds. The remaining 21 cricketers have a base price of 31,000 pounds.

The tournament’s organisers , the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), released the full list of players for the auction on Friday. Nearly 1,000 players from 18 countries have registered for the tournament. Before the auction, the eight participating teams will submit a preliminary list of 75 to 100 players of their choice, from which about 200 will make the final longlist.

No Bangladeshi cricketer has played in The Hundred since its inception in 2021. As a result, this year’s auction has created a special interest for Bangladeshi cricket fans. Analysts believe that franchises will be especially interested in bowlers like Mustafizur Rahman and Rishad Hossain.
