Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus has commented that the opportunity has come to build a ‘new Bangladesh’ by voting in the 13th National Parliament election and referendum. He said that through this vote, the country has chosen a path to emerge from a nightmarish past.
In an immediate reaction after casting his vote at the capital’s Gulshan Model High School center on Thursday, Dr. Yunus said, “Today is the happiest day of my life. From today, we have the opportunity to create a new Bangladesh.”
He described the day as a symbol of a new beginning for the nation, saying, “Today is a day of celebration, a day of liberation. Our nightmare is ending, a new beginning is beginning,” he said.
Highlighting the importance of the referendum, the chief advisor urged the countrymen to participate in it. In his words, “The referendum is very important. Through it, the whole of Bangladesh can change.”
