BNP Chairperson Tarique Rahman said that if there is an opportunity to form a government in the future, a separate department will be formed under the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs for the welfare of July fighters and their families.
At a meeting with the families of the martyrs and injured in the July Uprising 2024 at the Krishibid Institute in the capital on Sunday, he said that the state has a responsibility towards the martyrs and injured in the July Movement and the BNP is committed to implementing that responsibility.
Tarique Rahman said that the main goal of this initiative will be to ensure the highest level of treatment for the injured through state initiatives and to establish their political and economic rights according to their qualifications. He said that the upcoming national elections are very important for building a safe and democratic Bangladesh.
The meeting organized by BNP was presided over by party standing committee member Nazrul Islam Khan and Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi was present as a special guest.
