The Bangladesh Police Headquarters has transferred 15 officers of the rank of additional and assistant police superintendent in various units of the police. The reshuffle order was issued in two separate notifications signed by IGP Baharul Amal on Tuesday.
The notification stated that the transferred officers will have to join their new workplace by December 13. If they do not join within the stipulated time, they will be considered directly relieved from their current positions.
Recent transfers include—
Khulna Metropolitan Police Assistant Police Commissioner Shihab Karim, who has been appointed to the Special Branch (SB).
Chittagong Metropolitan Police Assistant Commissioner Md. Abul Kalam has been transferred to the Naval Police,
RAB ASPs Mazharul Haque and Mizanur Rahman have been sent to APBN.
Other changes in the list include
the reshuffle of additional police superintendents of various circles in Sylhet, Sirajganj, Jhenaidah, Sunamganj, Habiganj, Khagrachhari, Naogaon, Khulna and Faridpur. Notable among them are Chittagong Additional Police Superintendent Asaduzzaman, Sylhet Range DIG Office Additional Police Superintendent Sujan Sarkar, CID Additional Police Superintendent Khairul Amin and Railway Police Additional Police Superintendent Rezwan Dipu.
Police headquarters said the reshuffle was made to meet administrative needs and make the operations of various units “efficient and timely.
