A massive fire broke out in the capital’s Karail slum on Tuesday afternoon. After receiving the news of the fire at 5:22 pm, the fire service quickly rushed 16 units to the scene, of which 11 units are working to control the fire.
Rashedul Khalid, duty officer at the Fire Service Control Room, said the source of the fire has not yet been confirmed. Additional units are joining the effort from all sides as the fire is feared to spread to the densely populated area.
No information has been received yet about damage and casualties.
