A crude bomb explosion in Dhaka’s Hatirjheel area on Saturday evening briefly stirred panic, after a motorcycle at the scene caught fire.
The incident occurred around 6:10 p.m. on the Madhubagh Bridge, where unidentified assailants detonated the device before fleeing, police said.
Fuad Ahmed, the duty officer at Hatirjheel Police Station, confirmed the explosion and said a team was dispatched immediately after receiving the alert. No arrests have been made so far, and authorities are investigating the motive and origin of the explosive.
