Ahead of the 13th national parliamentary election, the Election Commission (EC) has granted final registration to three political parties. On Tuesday, at the election commission office in Agargaon, Senior EC Secretary Akhtar Ahmed informed reporters that the National Citizens Party (NCP), Bangladesh Amjanagan Party, and Bangladesh Socialist Party (Marxist) have received final registration.
He said that starting tomorrow (November 5), any individual or organization can raise claims or objections regarding these three parties, which will be announced in newspapers. The final gazette will be published by November 12.
The EC secretary further mentioned that eight other parties in the registration line did not qualify. In addition, the EC will make a decision on the Nizame Islam Party following directives from the High Court. Three other parties were found ineligible for registration after further investigation.
This step by the commission is aimed at ensuring fair and impartial participation in the upcoming 13th national parliamentary election.
