The film “Behula Dorodi” has been made based on rural folk culture and traditional theatre. Directed by Sabuj Khan, the movie draws inspiration from Tangail’s famous folk musical play Behula Nachari. It is set to be released in theaters across the country on October 31.
This is a music-driven film featuring a total of four songs, with music direction and composition by Nirjhor Chowdhury. He previously worked on the films Padmapuran, Phuljan, and Before I Die. His upcoming music projects include Afzal Hossain’s “Maniker Lal Kakra” and Rakhal Sabuj’s “Sardarbarir Khela.”
In Padmapuran, the song “Dekhley Chhobi”, composed by Nirjhor, earned Chandana Majumder a National Film Award.
In Behula Dorodi, the songs feature vocals by Kaniz Khondkar Mitu, Rokhsana Rupsa, Doel Raja, and Nirjhor Chowdhury himself. The lyrics were written by Wald Hasan.
According to Nirjhor, the film’s music arrangement was done on a large scale, with contributions from Shahriar Rafat, Shahriar Alam Marsel, Minhaj Jewel, and Mostakim Billah.
The lead role is played by Fazlur Rahman Babu, alongside Pran Roy, Suchona Sikdar, Azizun Mim, Ashraful Ashish, Affan Mitul, and Sanjida Mila.
The entire film was shot at various locations in Tangail, and it is produced by Utsab Originals.
