Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) A.M.M. Nasir Uddin has made it clear that no one will be allowed to work in favor of any party or individual in the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election. He stressed that all directives will be given in line with laws and regulations, and no unlawful instructions will be issued.
Speaking at the Election Officials’ Conference 2025 at the Election Commission building in Agargaon on Saturday (27 September), the CEC said:
“We, the five commissioners, took an oath, but it is you who implement the work. Therefore, the responsibility of this oath also lies with you.”
He added that despite many challenges—often unseen from the outside—the Commission is moving forward steadily. The Chief Adviser, he noted, has full confidence in the Election Commission’s ability to deliver a fair election.
Election Commissioner Rahmanel Mashud also addressed the conference, saying:
“There is no alternative to a credible election. If we treat the election as a battle, you, the election officials, are the soldiers. Political parties are the key players, but together we must ensure the nation gets a free and fair election.
