5 more children die with measles symptoms; total death toll reaches 960

  • Five more children have died of measles in the country in the last 24 hours. At the same time, hundreds of thousands of new cases of measles and measles have been reported.
    This information was given in a press release sent from the control room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Friday (August 28).

    According to the health directorate, seventy-seven people have been infected with measles in the last 24 hours. However, there were no confirmed deaths at this time.

    A total of 861 children died of measles across the country from March 15 to August 28. Ninety-nine people died at the same time. This means that the total death toll of measles and measles has been estimated at 960 people.

    Infected and hospitalized

    According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), the total number of patients with measles symptoms stood at 1 lakh 54 thousand 792 people from March 15 to August 28. Eighteen thousand 796 people have been identified.

    During this time, one lakh people were admitted to the hospital with symptoms of measles. Thirty-seven thousand people have been discharged from the hospital after treatment.

    The death toll from measles in the last twenty-four hours has been steadily increasing in the country. At the same time, the number of new cases and hospitalized patients every day is also putting pressure on the situation.
