A 10-year-old madrasa teacher has been accused of sexually assaulting a 10-year-old student in the second colony under the Darus Salam police station in the capital.
The accused teacher Md Yasin (20) has been handed over to the police. The victim’s mother filed a case with Darus Salam police station under the Women and Children Repression Prevention Act (case No.23/149).
Events and Cases
According to the statement of the case, the victim is a resident of Faizur Rahman Hafizul Quran Madrasa and Noorani department of the second colony. The accused teacher Md. Yasin used to teach at the same madrasa and spend the night there.
The accused teacher sexually assaulted and raped the child on August 13, 2026, using a tactical tactic. It was later intimidated to tell anyone. When the madrasa was closed, the child returned home and cried and narrated the incident to the family.
The identity of the accused
The arrested accused teacher Md Yasin (20) is the son of Md Babul Mia of Ludua village of Matlab North police station in Chandpur district. He was currently staying at Faizur Rahman Madrasa adjacent to the 2nd Colony Gabtali police outpost of Darus Salam police station.
Legal Action
Local agitated mob arrested the accused teacher and handed him over to the police at around 20.00 on August 18. Subsequently, the case was registered on charges of forcibly rape under section 9(1) of the Women and Children Repression Prevention Act (Amendment/2020) at Darus Salam Police Station on August 19, 2026.
Md Rashedul Islam Emon, sub-inspector (SI) of Darus Salam police station, has taken over the investigation officer of the case. The police are continuing the process of conducting a thorough investigation and legal action.
