The government has promoted 277 officers of the rank of senior assistant secretary to the post of deputy secretary in the government administration.
The promotion order was issued in two separate notifications from the Ministry of Public Administration on Monday (August 17th).
Deputy secretary of the public administration ministry Mohammad Noor-e-Alam issued the notification on the order of the president.
According to the notification, the promoted officers have been appointed as the special officer (deputy secretary) of the Ministry of Public Administration until the appointment of the promoted officers as deputy secretary.
It further said that even if the name of an officer of the previous workplace is mentioned in the order of the promotion, if his office or workplace is changed, the joint letter has to be submitted by specifying the name and address of the currently working department.
The authority has reserved the right to amend or cancel the order of promotion as per the requirement if any adverse or different information is found against any of the promoted officers.
According to the notification, officials can submit the join letter directly or online along with the senior secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration to join the new post.
The order issued in the public interest will take effect immediately.
