
Seven more people have died of measles in the last 24 hours amid the outbreak of measles in the country. Five of the dead were from Dhaka division.
At the same time, new cases of measles have been detected in thousands of people. Eighty-eight people have also been infected with the measles.
This information was given in the regular report of the health directorate on the situation of measles on Monday (August 17th).
According to the report, 816 people have died of measles symptoms since March 15. Ninety-nine people died at the same time. As a result, the total number of deaths as “two” of measles and confirmed measles stood at 915.
Eighty-eight measles have been reported in the last 24 hours. Since March 15th, the number of confirmed measles cases in the country has increased to 17 thousand 930 people.
In the last 24 hours, measles have been reported in the body of one thousand 31 people. As a result, the total number of symptomatic patients from March 15 has stood at 1 lakh 43 thousand 778 people.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), at the same time, one lakh 25 thousand 386 people were admitted to the hospital with symptoms of measles. One lakh people have been discharged from the hospital after treatment.
