Tarique Rahman has announced a special Eid gift for the cleaners of various city corporations of the country ahead of the holy Eid-ul-Azha.
On Friday evening, he handed over donation checks to the mayors and administrators of various city corporations at a program organized at the party office in Gulshan, the capital.
Representatives and administrators of 13 city corporations of the country were present at the program. It is known that this Eid bonus will be distributed among the cleaners through them.
According to sources in the Prime Minister’s Office, the contribution of cleaners is very important in keeping the city management running. They play an important role in waste management and maintaining city cleanliness, especially during Eid. This initiative has been taken in recognition of their hard work and contribution.
Those concerned said that the cleaners perform their duties even during holidays to ensure the comfort of the city residents on the occasion of Eid. Therefore, such an initiative from the government to provide them financial support and encouragement carries a positive message.
Incidentally, on this year’s Eid-ul-Fitr, the Prime Minister gave an Eid gift of 5,000 taka each to the city corporation’s cleaning workers.
