Ansar force is playing an important role in technology and employment creation: Tarique Rahman

  • Prime Minister Tarique Rahman said that Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force is not only fulfilling its security responsibilities but is also making important contributions to technological development and employment generation at home and abroad.
    He expressed hope that in the future, the force will play a bigger role at the international level by developing skilled manpower.

    He made these remarks while speaking as the chief guest at the 46th National Rally-2026 of Ansar and Village Defense Force and ‘Uprising Exercise’ exhibition organized at the auditorium of Bangladesh Ansar and VDP Academy in Safipur, Gazipur on Wednesday (May 20) morning.

    The Prime Minister said that Ansar members are working tirelessly to ensure the security of important installations and infrastructure of the country. From villages, cities, port areas to remote areas of the Chittagong Hill Tracts, the members of the force are performing their duties with dedication.

    He further said that the Ansar force has played an effective role in maintaining law and order during times of instability and anarchy in the country. They have provided commendable services by standing by the common people even during disasters. Through these activities, the force has further strengthened its position as a well-organized and disciplined force.

    Tarique Rahman said, currently, members of the Ansar Bahini are involved in various technology-based activities. In particular, more than 13,000 freelancers and field VDP members are working to increase harmony and social trust in the society. At the same time, TDV members are contributing to ensuring security in urban areas.

    He said, “The Ansar force is now not only a security force, but also an important partner in social and economic development.”

    The Prime Minister also said that initiatives have been taken to create employment and skilled human resources through the ‘Sanjeevan’ project, various digital platforms and the Ansar Welfare Trust. She expressed hope that these initiatives will also be helpful in sending skilled manpower abroad in the future.

    Earlier, the Prime Minister reached the Yad Ali Parade Ground at 9 am and inspected the parade and basic training exhibition. Later, he attended the main program organized in the auditorium and also listened to the problems and experiences of Ansar members working in different districts of the country.
