Describing the West Bengal Assembly elections as “remarkable”, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “The Padma is “flated” in West Bengal.
In a post on social media on Monday (May 4th) evening, he said that the election has won the power of the people and the politics of good governance has won.
“The people have given an unprecedented verdict to the Bharatiya Janata Party. This victory will open new horizons for the development and change of the state.”
He also said that the BJP government will do its best to meet the aspirations of the people of the state and build a system of governance where people from all walks of life will get equal opportunities and dignity.
With his comment of ‘Padma, Padmaful’, the party’s election symbol, which has been portrayed as a symbol of the party’s success in the state.
The Trinamool Congress, which has been in power for three consecutive terms, has taken a big blow to the election. As a result, the BJP is on the way to form a government in West Bengal.
