Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh has said that the bilateral relations between Bangladesh and India are gradually moving in a stable and normal manner.
He said that mutual trust, understanding and historic ties between the two countries are further strengthening the foundation of future cooperation.
He came up with the remarks while talking to reporters after a courtesy meeting with Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed and Deputy Speaker Kaiser Kamal at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban on Monday (April 13th).
The High Commissioner said that the relations between Bangladesh and India are not limited to the diplomatic range, but it is also a deep bond of passion, culture and tradition. “The historical and cultural connection between the people of the two countries is the main strength of our relationship,” he said.
He also mentioned that cooperation in various sectors, including energy, communication, trade and cultural exchange, is expanding. Priority will be given to the sectors that can be jointly worked for the welfare of the people of both the countries.
The meeting also discussed strengthening the exchange of parliamentary activities and experiences between the two countries. The emphasis was placed on making the bilateral relations more effective and fruitful through regular dialogue and enhancing mutual connectivity.
According to analysts, the recent diplomatic activities are signaling Bangladesh-India relations to reach new heights, where mutual trust and practical cooperation are becoming the main driving force.
