The high-level delegation of the two countries has arrived in the Pakistani capital Islamabad to take part in the much-anticipated peace dialogue between the United States and Iran. Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has expressed deep disbelief at the beginning of the talks.

The U.S. delegation is headed by Vice President JD Vance. Special Envoy Steve Wytkoff and President Donald Trump’s adviser Jared Kushner have also arrived in Islamabad, according to international media.
The dialogue is taking place at a time when the ceasefire was in effect, regional tensions were not completely escalated. The U.S. military presence is still active in the Middle East. Energy supply and logistics activities by air have been continued, which indicates strategic preparation.
Meanwhile, US intelligence sources have claimed in international media that Iran is trying to procure new air defense systems to strengthen its defense capabilities, which have also been accused of China’s involvement. Beijing has officially denied the allegations.
