Four more people have died of measles in the country in the last 24 hours. At the same time, 787 new measles symptoms were found. The health department of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare released this information on Saturday (April 4th) afternoon.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), the number of suspected measles patients in the last 24 hours is 787. From March 15 to Saturday, the total number of suspected measles patients stood at 6,476.
On the other hand, the number of measles confirmed patients in the last 24 hours is 60. As a result, the number of measles confirmed patients has increased to 826 since March 15.
The Department of Health has also released information about the death. Six suspected measles patients have died in the last 24 hours. A total of 98 suspected measles patients died from March 15 to Saturday, with the number of measles confirmed cases of measles to 16.
According to hospital data, a total of 4,628 new suspected measles patients were admitted from March 15 to Saturday. Of these, 2,654 have recovered and received discharged from the hospital.
The health authorities have advised the public to remain vigilant as well as follow their own hygiene rules and are continuing to monitor high-risk areas such as rates.
