The government has taken into account the new structure of integrated teaching in the country’s educational institutions to deal with the energy crisis and keep the educational activities active. According to the proposal, it is planned to conduct classes in person three days and three days online in the course of six days a week.
A meeting of the Ministry of Education in the capital on Tuesday held a preliminary discussion with the heads of various educational institutions. The participants of the meeting expressed their support for alternative methods, highlighting the need to reduce the travel pressure and save energy.
Officials said the proposal has not yet been finalised. The matter will be presented at the Cabinet meeting on Thursday. Detailed instructions will be issued if approved.
According to the plan, on the day of online classes, teachers will also teach through the designated digital platform from the presence of educational institutions. It is expected to continue the continuity of education as well as strengthen the technology-based education system.
Officials of the Ministry of Education say such measures can be taken in the context of the global energy crisis and the ongoing geopolitical situation. In particular, it is possible to save a significant amount of energy by reducing the movement of students, especially in the metropolitan areas.
Before the final decision, the government is focusing on determining an implementation framework with the views of all the stakeholders.
