On the occasion of the great Independence and National Day, a colorful parade and a beautiful flypast were organized at the National Parade Square in the capital . President Md. Shahabuddin and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman participated in this state event .
The Prime Minister welcomed the President when he arrived at the Parade Square after 10 am on Thursday. The President then formally inspected the parade and received the salute from the participating forces.
Members of various units of the armed forces, law enforcement agencies and other organizations participated in the event through disciplined displays. A flypast by the Air Force in the sky added special attraction to the event.
The state event was attended by invited guests from various walks of life, including cabinet members, political figures, diplomats, and others. Thousands of visitors also gathered at the Parade Square to enjoy the parade and flypast.
