The US Central Command (CENTCOM), the US military’s central command , has claimed that 11 Iranian naval vessels patrolling the Gulf of Oman have been completely destroyed.
In a statement posted on social media on Tuesday, Centcom said the ships were active in the Gulf just two days ago, but that there were no Iranian warships there after Monday’s operation.
The statement also said that Iran had been responsible for attacks and harassment of international shipping for decades . “That chapter is over,” the US claimed, adding that this situation would not return.
