Former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has been killed in an Israeli strike , The Jerusalem Post reported on Sunday (March 1), citing the Iranian Labor News Agency .
According to reports, Ahmadinejad’s residence in the Narnak area of northeast Tehran was attacked as part of a campaign targeting top Iranian officials, killing him and several of his bodyguards.
Ahmadinejad was the president of Iran from 2005 to 2013. He was known internationally for his hardline stance and open opposition to Western countries. He previously served as governor of Ardabil province and mayor of Tehran.
