The Election Commission has made major changes to the field administration after the conclusion of the 13th National Parliament elections . 112 election officers working at the upazila and thana levels across the country have been transferred simultaneously.
An office order issued by the EC’s Human Resources Management Branch on Monday (February 23) said that these officers have been transferred from their current posts to new responsibilities in the public interest. The order will come into effect immediately.
The directive states that the transferred officers will have to hand over their responsibilities and leave their current workplace by March 1. If they are not released within the stipulated time, the concerned officers will be automatically considered released from the afternoon of that day.
