Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has ordered the immediate opening of the third terminal of the capital’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport .
Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Afroza Khanam said she gave the instructions at a meeting held at the Cabinet Conference Room at the Secretariat on Sunday (February 22) .
Finance and Planning Minister ** Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury ** and top officials of the relevant ministries and civil aviation authorities were present at the meeting.
After the meeting, Minister Afroza Khanam said that the Prime Minister has ordered to take necessary steps to launch the terminal quickly. However, it is not possible to give a specific time frame right now. “Discussions and scrutiny are underway—how to launch it quickly is the priority now,” she said.
