The first session of the 13th National Parliament may be held on March 12 , or a day or two before that, said Salahuddin Ahmed . He confirmed the schedule in a brief statement to the media on Saturday night.
The Home Minister said that the election of the Speaker and Deputy Speaker will be held during the inaugural session. In addition, the ordinances issued during the interim government will be presented in parliament and a condolence motion will be adopted.
Tarique Rahman was elected as the leader of the parliament in the previously formed 13th parliament . Dr. Shafiqur Rahman was given the responsibility of the opposition leader .
