New schedules have come into effect in government and financial institutions across the country from Thursday (February 19) to take into account the timings of Sehri and Iftar during the holy month of Ramadan. The schedule was set in a notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration .
According to the new schedule, government, semi-government and autonomous offices will operate from 9 am to 3:30 pm from Sunday to Thursday. There will be a break for Zuhr prayers from 1:15 pm to 1:30 pm. Friday and Saturday will remain weekly holidays.
Under the instructions of Bangladesh Bank , banking transactions will be conducted during Ramadan from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm. Official work will continue until 4 pm. Financial institutions will also be open from 9:30 am to 4 pm; prayer breaks will be from 1:15 pm to 1:30 pm.
During Ramadan, court proceedings will run from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and official work will run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will also be a prayer break from 1:15 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
