So far, 330 international observers have been confirmed to observe the 13th National Parliamentary Election and the referendum on the ‘July National Charter’ to be held on February 12.
This is more than double the number of people who participated in the January 7 election.
The Chief Advisor’s Press Wing said that six international organizations, including the OIC, will send at least 63 observers. In addition, the European Union, 16 countries, and 32 individuals affiliated with various international organizations will observe the election process as observers.
The presence of international observers in the elections is expected to increase transparency and acceptability. Representatives from several other countries and organizations are also likely to join, according to the authorities concerned.
