The Nobel Foundation has once again clarified that the Nobel Prize cannot be transferred or shared with anyone else in any way, even symbolically.
In a statement on social media on Sunday, the organization said that the Nobel Prize applies only to the person in whose name it is awarded.
The statement said that the prize is awarded in accordance with Alfred Nobel’s will and the conditions set out, and that it is one of the Foundation’s responsibilities to uphold its dignity. Nobel’s will states that the prize should be awarded only to individuals who have made a special contribution to the welfare of mankind.
The Nobel Foundation has urged people to follow the instructions of the Norwegian Nobel Committee for more information on this matter.
