Leaders and activists of the Inqilab Mancha have once again taken up positions at Shahbagh demanding the speedy arrest and trial of those involved in the murder of Shaheed Osman Hadi. They gathered at Shahbagh around 1:45 pm after Friday prayers with a procession from the Central Jama Masjid of Dhaka University.
The Shahbagh area was filled with slogans during the sit-in. Traffic on one side of the road was temporarily blocked due to the protests.
Earlier, the Inqilab Manch called on social media to join the protest rally at Shahbagh Shaheed Hadi Square.
It is worth mentioning that on December 12, Inqilab Manch convener Sharif Osman Hadi was injured in a gunfight with terrorists in Bijoynagar in the capital. He later died on December 19 while undergoing treatment in Singapore. Since the murder, the organization has been regularly holding programs in Shahbagh, demanding speedy justice.
