Thakurgaon—Bangladesh Nationalist Party Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said that development will be his main goal if he is elected by the people in the 13th National Parliament election.
He told reporters after submitting his nomination papers at the Thakurgaon District Returning Officer’s office on Monday afternoon. He said that he has been nominated by BNP for Thakurgaon-1 constituency in the upcoming elections to be held on February 12. For this, he expressed gratitude to the party’s chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and acting chairman Tarique Rahman.
Mirza Fakhrul said that if elected, he will work towards the overall development of the Thakurgaon region, especially strengthening educational institutions, social environment and economic activities. In addition, importance will also be given to the development of the local social system.
At that time, he appealed to the voters to support him like in the past and vote for the paddy sheaf symbol to make him the winner.
