Sharif Osman Hadi, a spokesperson for the Inquilab Manch and a well-known face of the July Movement, died on Thursday night, the Inquilab Cultural Center confirmed.
He was shot on December 12 afternoon while on his way to Suhrawardy Udyan after campaigning on Bijoynagar Box-Culvert Road in the capital. He was rushed to the hospital in serious condition and later transferred abroad for better treatment. He died while undergoing treatment.
Law enforcement sources said Faisal Karim Masud and motorcyclist Alamgir Sheikh have been identified as suspects in the attack. Officials say they fled across the border shortly after the incident, but the matter is still under investigation.
