The Advisory Council of the interim government called for national prayers for the speedy recovery of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia at a special meeting at the State Guest House Jamuna. The information was announced on her verified Facebook page after the meeting held under the chairmanship of the chief advisor on Tuesday.
The meeting described Khaleda Zia’s current physical condition as “very critical” and directed that she be treated without any problems at the hospital. The advisory council also approved the decision to prepare to take her abroad for advanced treatment if necessary.
In addition, considering her security and travel convenience, it was decided to declare Khaleda Zia as a Very Important Person of the State (VVIP) and instructions have been given to the relevant agencies to implement it immediately.
The government says Khaleda Zia’s family and top BNP leaders are aware of these decisions.
