A five-member foreign medical team has arrived at the capital’s Evercare Hospital to provide medical assistance to BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia. The team entered the hospital’s main building at 2:50 pm on Monday.
Hospital sources said the foreign doctors will meet with the local and foreign experts on the currently formed medical board. According to the board members, additional expert opinions have become necessary due to Khaleda Zia’s current physical condition. Most of the team members are reportedly Chinese nationals.
Earlier, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that Khaleda Zia’s treatment is underway under the joint supervision of local and foreign doctors.
