BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s physical condition has deteriorated again. She has been admitted to the coronary care unit of Evercare Hospital in the capital for five consecutive days.
Doctors said that he has been receiving 8-10 liters of oxygen since Sunday night and the ICU has been kept ready in case his condition deteriorates further on Monday afternoon. Although he was not taken to the ICU, the necessary support has been arranged in the CCU.
A doctor from the medical board said that although the situation is worrying, the board has not yet taken a final decision. He urged the countrymen to pray.
Meanwhile, BNP Vice Chairman Ahmed Azam Khan claimed at noon that Khaleda Zia has been put on ventilation. The hospital authorities have not given any official comment on the matter.
