Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Central National Executive Committee member and former General Secretary of District BNP, member No. 1 of District BNP Convening Committee, BNP nomination aspirant from Manikganj-1 constituency SA Jinnah Kabir said, “If elected, I will build permanent dams to prevent river erosion, build international trade zones. I will work for the development of roads, bridges, culverts, mosques, madrasas, temples and for the betterment of farmers, workers, and the poor.” He appealed to the people and voters to vote with rice ears in the next election.
In the 31-point plan to repair the national structure announced by BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman before the nation, how will the country run if BNP comes to power, employment arrangements will be made for educated youth, unemployment allowance will be given to them as long as they are unemployed. The government will purchase the crops produced by farmers through family cards. The 31-point plan includes the provision of agricultural inputs for farmers, daily wage workers working in villages and towns, and the improvement of the fate of the people.
He made this statement while addressing the 31-point campaign and public meeting of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman at Aricha Ghat Terminal on Tuesday (November 25) evening, organized by Shibaloy Upazila BNP and its affiliated organizations, as the chief guest.
At that time, thousands of Trinamool BNP leaders and activists from various levels, including the president and general secretary of Shivaloy, Ghior and Daulatpur upazilas of Manikganj-1 constituency, gathered at the 31-point campaign and public meeting venue, chanting slogans demanding Jinnah Kabir’s party nomination.
Jinnah Kabir said, “I started politics by becoming a member of the Jago Party under the leadership of martyred President Ziaur Rahman.”
At that time, I was going from village to village, market to market, going from house to house with Shaheed Zia’s 19 points, Khaleda Zia’s 29 points and most recently Tarique Rahman’s 31 points. I have participated in all party programs in politics for 47 years.
He said, starting from Chhatra Dal, Jubo Dal, district BNP, I have served as the general secretary of the district BNP for several times, including important positions. The party will definitely nominate me after evaluating my past sacrifices. He called on the martyrs to vote for the BNP symbol of the rice sheaf created by Ziaur Rahman and Begum Khaleda Zia. If they vote for the rice sheaf, BNP’s acting chairman, Desh Nayak Tarique Rahman, will become the prime minister in the future through the formation of the government. He sought prayers for BNP chairperson Desh Nayak Begum Khaleda Zia and BNP’s acting chairman, Desh Nayak Tarique Rahman.
The main speaker was District Jubo Dal convener Kazi Mostak Hossain Dipu and the special guest was Ghior Upazila BNP President Mir Manikuzzaman Manik, Daulatpur Upazila BNP President Md. Sirajul Islam, who said that Jinnah Bhai was by the side of the leaders and workers during the cases and attacks and the party’s bad times in the past 15/16 years. As a dedicated and tested leader, he has been able to gain the trust of the people of the three upazilas as a familiar face in the joys and sorrows of the Trinamool BNP and the common people.
They also said, “Our BNP and its affiliated organizations’ leaders and activists are very eager to vote for Jinnah Bhai under the paddy sheaf symbol in the next election. We will give a record number of votes to Jinnah Bhai under the paddy sheaf symbol in Manikganj-1 constituency across the country and present it to Tarique Rahman. We will be on the streets for Jinnah Kabir Bhai. If necessary, the Dhaka-Aricha highway will be closed.”

Those whom we have not seen in the field for a single day in the past are now lobbying for BNP’s party nomination. These opportunistic leaders are not even familiar with the leaders and activists of Trinamool. If those opportunistic leaders get the nomination, our party will be completely defeated in this seat.
They said, when we were in jail on false and fabricated cases by the fascist Awami League government, Jinnah Bhai bailed us out with his own money. At that time, he also arranged for a market at the workers’ family homes. We are demanding that the country’s leader Khaleda Zia and the party’s acting chairman Tarique Rahman nominate Jinnah Bhai. You should check and see, BNP leaders and workers from all levels of these three upazilas are with him, which is not with anyone else.
