Bangladesh has signed two memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with Bhutan. On Saturday (22 November), in the presence of Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus and Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay, the two countries signed cooperation agreements on healthcare and internet connectivity.
According to the Chief Advisor’s Press Wing, Health Secretary Md. Saidur Rahman signed the MoU related to health cooperation. Meanwhile, Secretary of the Posts and Telecommunications Division Abdun Naser Khan signed the MoU on international internet bandwidth and other telecommunication services.
Before the signing ceremony at the Chief Advisor’s Office in Tejgaon, Dr. Yunus held a private meeting with Prime Minister Tobgay. This was followed by an official bilateral meeting.
Prime Minister Tobgay arrived in Dhaka on Saturday morning for a two-day state visit. He landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 8:15 a.m. on a Drukair flight, where Chief Advisor Dr. Yunus received him.
