On the occasion of Armed Forces Day, President Mohammed Shahabuddin and the Chief Adviser of the interim government, Dr. Muhammad Yunus, laid wreaths at Shikha Anirban in Dhaka, honoring the martyred heroes of Bangladesh.
On Friday morning (21 November), both the President and the Chief Adviser paid their respects. The day is being observed with various programs, including courtesy calls by the chiefs of the three armed forces and receptions for decorated freedom fighters.
According to a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations Directorate (ISPR), the chiefs of the army, navy, and air force will pay courtesy visits to the Chief Adviser at the Armed Forces Division and to the President at Bangabhaban.
Marking Armed Forces Day 2025, the Chief Adviser will honor selected decorated freedom fighters and their families at the “Ami Multipurpose Complex” in Dhaka Cantonment. He will exchange greetings and present commemorative gifts to 101 selected honorees and their heirs.
The day’s programs began with special prayers after Fajr in all mosques across army cantonments, naval bases, and air force stations, seeking blessings for the nation’s peace and prosperity, the continued progress of the armed forces, and the eternal peace of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the Liberation War.
