Two bulldozers arrived at Dhanmondi 32 in the capital. A group of young men accompanied them.
When asked about their identity, they said they were activists from various student organizations.
Following a Facebook-announced program titled “Bulldozer March,” they gathered at Dhanmondi 32 around 7:30 p.m. that evening. Later, the historic house at the location was vandalized.
Meanwhile, on Monday (November 17), the verdict will be announced in the war crimes case against former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and two others. They are accused of committing crimes against humanity during the July–August uprising last year.
The other two accused in the case are former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan and former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun. Among the three accused facing five charges, the only one arrested—former IGP Mamun—has already testified and given a statement as an “approver” (state witness).
Sources say all preparations for delivering the verdict have been completed as scheduled. At around 11 a.m., Justice Md. Golam Mortuza Mojumder, heading the three-member International Crimes Tribunal-1, will announce the verdict. The other members of the tribunal are Justice Md. Shofiul Alam Mahmud and Judge Md. Mohitul Haque Enam Chowdhury.
