A case has been filed against actress Tanzin Tisha on charges of fraud and breach of trust. The case was filed on Wednesday (November 5) at the Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court by Md. Aminul Islam, an executive of the online fashion brand “Aponia.”
According to the complaint, Tanzin Tisha received a saree worth 28,800 taka from the brand for promotional purposes but neither completed the agreed promotion nor paid for the item. The complaint also states that she later cut off communication. Meanwhile, Tisha claimed on social media that the saree had been given to her as a gift, which the complainant says damaged the reputation of the brand.
Earlier, a legal notice had been sent to Tisha demanding a public apology and compensation, but no response was received within the specified time. As a result, the company proceeded with legal action. The court has accepted the case and instructed the Detective Branch (DB) Police to investigate the matter.
