Dhallywood’s immortal actor Salman Shah mysteriously passed away on September 6, 1996. After 29 years of investigation, a new murder case was filed on October 21 at Ramna Police Station, naming 11 people as accused, including Salman Shah’s ex-wife Samira Haque, businessman Aziz Mohammad Bhai, actress Latifa Haque Lucy, and villain actor Don.
Meanwhile, popular Dhallywood actress Shabnur, who had remained silent due to the ongoing trial, spoke out on Monday (October 27) via her verified Facebook profile, condemning the spreading of misleading information linking her name to Salman Shah.
Shabnur stated that she personally suffered deep emotional loss due to Salman Shah’s untimely death. Their successful on-screen pairing had sparked envy among many. She accused some malicious individuals of deliberately spreading rumors and misinformation about her relationship with Salman Shah.
Shabnur further said that she does not know the exact circumstances of Salman Shah’s death, but she strongly expects a proper investigation and justice. She emphasized that whoever is guilty must be brought under the law and appropriately punished. She also expressed heartfelt sympathy to Salman Shah’s mother, Neela Auntie, and the family, and prayed for the salvation of Salman Shah’s soul.
Through her statement, Shabnur made it clear that she strongly opposes the false rumors about her and Salman Shah, and reminded film lovers that Salman Shah was an extraordinary, talented, and beloved co-actor, whose collaboration helped brighten her own career.
