A delegation of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami met with the Chief Adviser of the interim government, Dr. Muhammad Yunus, at the state guest house Jamuna.
On Wednesday (October 22) around 5:30 PM, the Jamaat delegation entered the Jamuna premises.
The delegation included Jamaat’s Nayeb-e-Ameer Dr. Syed Abdullah Muhammad Taher, Secretary General Mia Golam Porwar, Assistant Secretary Generals Maulana A.T.M. Masum and Rafiqul Islam Khan.
It is believed that discussions during the meeting focused on the July Charter and the upcoming national elections.
Earlier, at around 5:00 PM, a delegation from the National Citizen Party (NCP) met with the Chief Adviser. The NCP delegation consisted of Convener Nahid Islam, Chief Organizer of the Northern Region Sarjis Alam, Senior Joint Convener Samanta Sharmin, and Khaled Saifullah.
The previous day (October 21), a delegation from the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) also met with the Chief Adviser. The BNP team was led by the party’s Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and included Standing Committee members Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury and Salahuddin Ahmed.
