Nagar Baul James, the maestro of band music in Bangladesh, has tied the knot again. The bride, Namia Amin, is an America-based expatriate, now known as Namia Anam. This marks the third marriage for the country’s most popular band singer.
James and Namia first met in 2023 in Los Angeles during James’s U.S. tour. Their initial acquaintance and growing closeness during the Los Angeles show eventually blossomed into love. After the tour, James returned to Bangladesh, and shortly after, Namia followed her heart and joined him. The couple got married on 12 June 2024.

Since then, they have been living together in James’s Banani residence in Dhaka. A joyful milestone followed on 8 June 2025 when their first son, Zibran Anam, was born at 3:35 a.m. local time at Huntington Hospital in New York, bringing immense happiness to the family.
The couple shares a deep understanding. Namia’s parents, Nurul Amin and Nahid Amin, reside permanently in the U.S., and Namia grew up there, earning recognition as a dancer.
Previously, James was married to actress Rathi and later to U.S.-based Benjir. He separated from his second wife, Benjir Sajjad, in 2014 due to professional commitments, as Benjir had decided to settle permanently in Dallas, USA, with their only daughter, Jahan. James, however, could not leave music or Bangladesh. The separation was mutually agreed upon.

From his first marriage to Rathi, James has a son, Danish, and a daughter, Jannat, both now pursuing their own lives after completing university. Friends and close relatives note that having a son at this stage of life can be a new “tuning point” in James’s life.
Speaking about his new chapter, James said, “By Allah’s boundless grace, I am well. As long as I live, I want to continue singing. I seek everyone’s prayers. Please keep me in your prayers.
