BNP’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has said that the party fundamentally supports the legitimate demands of teachers.
In a video message shared on social media, he stated that if BNP gets the opportunity to run the government through people’s votes, it will form a high-level commission to enhance teachers’ financial security, ensure job permanency, and consider the nationalization of teachers.
Tarique Rahman further said, “At the teachers’ assembly, various issues were raised, such as job nationalization and increasing MPO-covered institutions. BNP fundamentally agrees with these demands. Past experiences show that most of these demands were fulfilled when our party was in power.”
He added, “While we undertake initiatives for state and political reforms and citizen development, modernizing the education system and ensuring teachers’ socio-economic security is extremely important. If BNP comes to power through people’s votes, we will, Insha’Allah, form a high-level commission to properly address the legitimate demands of teachers.
