After much drama, boycotts, and candidate withdrawals, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) election finally kicked off on Monday at 10 a.m. at a five-star hotel in Dhaka.
Even at the last moment, the drama continued. From Category-2, Fayazur Rahman Bhuiyan withdrew his candidacy on the eve of the election. However, Ifthekhar Rahman Mithu entered the race in the same category. As a result, 14 candidates are now contesting from the club category, where 12 will be elected.
Meanwhile, in the divisional category, 8 candidates have already been elected unopposed.

👉 After much uncertainty, the BCB is set to see a new leadership through this much-anticipated election.
