BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has warned that no one will be spared if they attempt to seize power by colluding with the Awami League.
Speaking at a program titled “Providing Medical Assistance” at the BNP Chairperson’s office in Gulshan on Tuesday (September 23), Rizvi delivered his remarks. During the event, financial support was provided to 22 families of party leaders and activists who were victims of enforced disappearances and killings, injured during the July uprising, or suffering from critical illnesses.
Rizvi recalled, “During the July 19 uprising, Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader publicly ordered that protestors be shot on sight. Those who once gave orders to kill the nation’s sons will not be allowed to return.”
He further cautioned, “Those who now believe they can secretly collaborate with the Awami League to cross the electoral river will also not be spared. The recent incident in New York is clear proof of that.”
Addressing pro-democracy leaders, Rizvi emphasized the need to resolve internal differences through dialogue and unity to prevent the resurgence of fascism. He urged vigilance ahead of the upcoming Durga Puja, warning against any provocation or unrest.
