After her divorce from musician-actor Tahsan Khan, actress Rafiath Rashid Mithila began a new chapter of life in December 2019 by marrying Kolkata-based filmmaker Srijit Mukherji. However, in recent months, rumors had been circulating about a growing distance between Mithila and Srijit, fueled further by their absence from public appearances together.
Putting an end to the speculations, Srijit Mukherji responded warmly to Mithila’s recent achievement. On Sunday night, Mithila announced a major milestone in her academic career—she had successfully completed her PhD and earned the distinguished title of “Doctorate.” Srijit, showing his appreciation, praised this success.
On Monday afternoon, Srijit shared Mithila’s post on his own Facebook page, writing: “An incredible achievement, and heaps of appreciation!” Earlier, he had also praised Mithila and Tahsan’s daughter Ayra by sharing one of her advertisements and even commending her acting in Indian media. While fans had been questioning the state of the couple’s relationship, Srijit’s recent responses surrounding Mithila have effectively calmed much of the speculation.
